The Fear That Keeps You From Speaking Your Truth - (Nice Guy Myth #2)

Shownotes

I used to be proud that I could get along with everyone. That I could fit into any group and be liked by almost anybody.

But here’s the truth I later realized: that came at a cost. To be liked, I had to hide my needs, my emotions, even my mistakes. I became a shapeshifter — generous, peaceful, helpful — but not truly me.

In this episode, I share how people-pleasing turned me into someone I wasn’t, why it disconnects your head from your heart, and the single most powerful question that helped me come back to my authentic self.

✨ This week’s quest: Share one small want, need, or emotion today where you usually wouldn’t. Notice what happens when you don’t hold back. Write it down. Reflect. Share with me in the comments or DM.

🪞 Reflective Questions for You: 1. What am I most afraid would happen if I showed my true self? 2. What parts of me do I believe others wouldn’t accept? And is that actually true? 3. When was the last time I expressed a need or emotion openly? What happened? 4. If I trusted I wouldn’t be abandoned, how would I show up differently?
